When your client gets to the point when seemingly meaningless triggers cause irritation, your professional help is warranted. You will probably spend your sessions helping them find alternative affective states and teaching them how to dial down their seemingly uncontrollable impulsive irritability. This session is designed to help you reinforce your efforts as they begin to shift their focus towards positivity and enjoying life.
This session will help your client:
Shift focus from negative events, thoughts, or fears to the multitude of positive thing present in their life.
Recognize that we all have available an alternative affective state.
Calm the muscles as well as the nervous system through visualization.
How can hypnosis and hypnotherapy work for your client?
Hypnosis is a process, which helps your client get out of their own way and allows them to select how they think. This enables them to access the hidden power of their brain – and body. Their brain has always had an ability to easily understand and organize. This capability is initially formed during the first 24 months of life. Then it is reinforced during further growth periods, which end around ages 13 and 25. However, some people have learned to suppress these abilities. Normally, this occurs when they see examples of others who are untidy or unable to organize their immediate environment and set goals. Many the challenges that a person faces in life are predominantly the results of learned behaviors. This creates the misperception that this is just “who I am.” In turn, this incorrect identity is reflected by which parts of their brain are typically activated, idled, and inhibited. The use of advanced SPECT scans of the brain reveals how energy is organized in the brains of people who see themselves as unsuccessful in life. The good news is the opposite is also true. People who are successful use their brains differently. They repeatedly activate parts of their brain, which are associated with confidence. Through repeated use, these areas become more and more powerful. This is where hypnosis helps.
Hypnosis helps by virtually shutting down the nay-saying resistance centers of the brain and accelerating the development areas, which are more appropriate for the desired transformation. Think of this as physical therapy for your brain. By denying the negative areas energy – which comes from excessive focus on what you don’t want – resistance seems to magically disappear. Then by using what I call selective thought, you can activate the areas that provide the needed resources such as confidence, organization, and the ability to envision a positive future. Simply, without developing competence in those areas you will absolutely never be successful. Think of this as attempting to run a race without having strong and health legs, lungs, and heart. It will never happen. Next the goal is to strengthen the necessary parts of the brain by repeated use. This session is designed to do just that. By helping turn off the part that this getting in the way and repeatedly exercising the required resources, you will find that your capabilities will begin emerging. Doesn’t this make a lot of sense? I recommend that you use this session at least once a day for a minimum of 21 days – and occasionally thereafter. Before you start this process, write down clear goals, which you intend to achieve. Follow this formula – and expect results to emerge! Start today.
Why is this a Clinical title? This is a session that has been designated as a clinical title since it is primarily designed to be used someone who is working with or under the supervision a mental health or medical practitioner. Such clinicians may use these sessions to achieve a specific therapeutic response in their patients or clients. Individuals who use these titles should only do so if they are working with a clinician and/or they have access to a clinician should any distress or discomfort occur. While hypnosis is extremely safe, if the client or patient begin noticing any distress or discomfort, they should immediately stop using the session and immediately report their situation or condition to their supervising clinician. As compared to the self-help titles, clinical sessions contain several suggestions and visualizations that may be deemed more effective and more intense. They are designed to empower while illicit several responses such as enhanced self control and increased empowerment. Because of the fact that these sessions are more direct and calculated to produce very specific somatic and mental responses, they should only be used when approved by or under the direction of an apppropriately trained clinician.

One of the biggest obstacles to becoming a master presenter is those butterflies that seem to be fluttering around in your stomach before you start to speak. Although you are an expert in your subject, your fears create a fight/flight reaction. Your hands become cold, your vital organs stop functioning properly, and a majority of your brain’s blood flow shifts to the ancient reactive defensive areas that reside just above your brain stem. Your mind and body begin shutting down. You are not your best. However, you can speak to small and large audiences in total comfort and excitement if you...
Anyone who reads my full resume or view my professional signature citation, if and when I list all of my academic degrees, I have more than a few initials after my name. Of course, being in my mid-fifty’s, I have a drawer full of certifications that have associated initials. So the question is: Who cares? In my experience, some of my clients and patients really do care? Others could care less.
One way to simplistically look at this is how a person uses their brain. Some people lead their lives focused on their emotions. How does something make me feel? What does my gut feelings tell me?...
Your confidence concerning your ability to handle any task in life has a lot to do with where your mind is at the time. Actually, achieving confidence is quite simple once you understand this simple concept. Think for a moment. Where is your conscious awareness right now? Are you ruminating needlessly about something that happened in the past? Or, are you obsessing about a difficulty that hasn’t even happened yet?
When the perceived difficulty of a pending task is considered greater than the perceived capability to handle it, then negative stress occurs. Obviously, this involves how your...
